This article is essentially a WP:POVFORK of Serbia's reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence. As Kosovo is internationally recognised by the international community as being a part of Serbia, the reaction article is the best place for this article. It is akin to having Georgia-South Ossetia relations. Additionally, as the Republic of Kosovo is not recognised by Serbia, which still regards it as an integral part of Serbia, albeit under UN administration, relations between Serbia and its province are done via the UN level, not with the government of the Republic of Kosovo. The article has been redirected to the above article on a few occasions by a few editors, but this has been undone, so it is now time to discuss this issue here at AfD. - Comment. Your Kosovo is internationally recognised by the international community as being a part of Serbia is rather misleading. According to International recognition of Kosovo, 62 out of 192 United Nations members—including 22 out of 27 states in the European Union, 24 out of 28 NATO members and 3 out of 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council—have formally recognized the Republic of Kosovo as an independent state. — Rankiri (talk) 15:51, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep. Nominator seems only trying to prove his point, after getting into disagreement about South-Ossetia with another editor. Looking his latest contributions and edit summaries should be enough. Sorry, Russavia, but get a grip, you are outstanding contributor, there's no need for that kind of behavior. - Keep- this is one of those X-Y relations articles where the two countries actually have relations, being neighbors and all. Umbralcorax (talk) 18:23, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- They actually do not have relations. Serbia does not recognise the Republic of Kosovo, but rather deals with its province via UNMIK. So in fact, this would have to be renamed Serbia-UNMIK relations. --Russavia Dialogue 19:23, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep per Wikipedia:WikiProject International relations#Bilateral relations. --Turkish Flame ☎ 19:18, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment It should also be noted that this is also a content fork of Serbia's reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence, where all information can already be found. --Russavia Dialogue 19:23, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong keep. I smell a personal agenda here, but the article is more than suitable for inclusion. They are neighbours with a deep historical link, which can be now be written about since Kosovo's nationhood has been recently recognised by most major countries. - Speedy keep. I'm now reasonably confident that this nomination was not made in good faith (see WP:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Russavia and User talk:Russavia#Kosovo). Nobody else seems to share the nominator's views. The stub, Kosovan–Serbian relations, is well-sourced and shows no apparent violations of WP:NPOV. — Rankiri (talk) 20:32, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
